well, i guess at the end of the day, why are we really caring, afterall, their just gonna be killed for our consumption and these creatures live at wat, a maximum of 2 years?

funny i think that us humans care so much, but i guess its the right thing to do to care.

Can anyone here explain with certainty, the history of foie gras, in terms of how birds were fattened in the first place? Last I read was that it all started with ancient Egyptians. But my book didn't explain if the Egyptians forcefed the birds, or if the natural livers just became a prized food on their own.
