Hi,

I am doing an paper for a class on what makes a great chef, and was wondering if I could as a few questions and get some feedback maybe from a global perspective as well. I appreciate any feedback or comments I can get. Thank you in advance. =D

the ability to look at a meal in the pan and know by looking if it needs salt.

a work ethic second to none, If you wouldn't do it, dont ask annyone esle to.

be able to hit a moving target at 20 feet with a hot pan.

Default Back on planet earth...

What makes a great chef?

Passion. Enthusiasm. Love of good food. Of course a lot of chefs now kind of warp that whole premise. (trout ice cream?)

I am not a firm believer in the 'lets put a lot of really weird ingredients together and call it fine dining' genre.

But that also doesn't mean that a great chef can't find little tweeks in standard fare and make it something special.

IMHO It's that love of the imaginative side of food that makes a good chef great.

April

Great Chefs aren't made.
They're born Great Chefs.
