Need Help with a NY Chef report

So I need help and need it this weekend.

For my mid term report I need to write a 2 page paper on a New York Chef. My problem is I dont know any. I mean I know like the famous ones on the food network and stuff. My chef said he wants us to interview a chef but its not required.

I dont know much about Chefs, I dont look up to any chef, I dont idolize any chef (do you think i should?) so I dont know much about any. I dont dine out at nicer places but I do like good food. and honestly most the time I like to cook at home and practice or try something new or i just dont have any cash to go out.

So I was hoping that someone could give me the name of a chef in NY that i could find some info on ormaybe a Chef in NY on this board wouldnt mind being my subject for the mid term.

Pick some well-known restaurants/high profile chefs. Check out their websites. Most have pages dedicated to the chefs and usually include some background info as well as "what's your favorite color?" bulls$%t...might be a good idea to find out who your chef admires in N.Y...if you don't have to actually do an interview, this should be quick and painless...good luck!!! Oh, Starchefs.com would be a great place to research...cheers!!!

He was Robert DeNiro original chef at Tribeca
