chubyalaskagriz is on a distinguished road
Default country clubs, tourism, household service...

I'm in Alaska and worked at resorts operated by Princess Cruises for many years. I still have peers in Princess kitchens and they tell me they are hiring more kitchen staff than ever- even most recently for the '08 summer cruise season. Wealth is a funny thing- seems we're not all hovering around our mailboxes awaiting that government rebate check!

As another poster offered, Country Clubs are typically safe- especially if the wealth of the club is "real" and if the club is in a historically established geographical locale.

I have another peer who is an instrustor at a school trains trains folks to work as butlers, household chefs and other domestic positions. This school also serves as an employment agency. She tells me there is no shortage of wealthy households looking for butlers, housemen, nannies, chefs, household managers, caretakers/couples, chauffers, gardeners, etc.
