Default workable recipes

ok so give us a day or two and each of us could make magic in the kitchen im sure... but say i give you 1 hour, and 1 key ingredient what could you do

say, i give you 1 hour, plus some mackerel fillets, as for extra ingredients, think as to what you have readily available... for me thats potatoes, rice, cous cous, um... assorted other fruits/veg, some spices etc etc

what would you make? and could you repeat it...

how difficult is this

Pan "fry" the mackerel in olive oil with capers

Par cook & dice the potatoes, toss them in some olive oil with granulated garlic, dash paprika..cook in oven

Depending upon what veggies and fruits I had, I would make a salsa to spoon over the mackerel.
