Lightbulb Egyptian cotton

I have been looking into getting some new chef jackets, but is it really worth it to spend the $$$ for the jackets that are made with "Egyptian Cotton"? They are wicked expensive. I want to buy quality, but is it really worth it?

Thanks,

Jacky

Soft and cool. It's worth the x-tra cash. If your looking for comfort go for. Another tip, I bought short sleeve for the first time and LOVE them.

Check out "Crooked Brook", they hand make beautiful chef jackets out of Supima Cotton. The Post Card I received from them stated starting prices at $100. They are exceptional.

The Egyptian cotton is nice mainly because it is more comfortable and allows the cotton to breathe better which keeps you cooler.

Cool

egyptian cotton rocks...that is if you do not mind high maintinance to look good and stay cool...try and hit your employer up for it or if nothing else it can be used as a tax write off...go for it man, you will not miss the extra change in the long run...

I just got a chef's jacket from Cayson Design in SF. I asked Lynette Cayson about egyptian cotton, and she felt that was pretty much hype. Not that it isn't comfortable, but that people use the designation to charge a higher price. My jacket is Pima cotton and it is great and cool. The jacket was about $55.

The most comfortable chef jacket I've ever worn are manufactured by Bragard...under the line of "Navalie" It's the same coat sold by Emeril. 100% cotton with a very soft touch that just feels great. They were $58.

Cheers,
