Yawn

As far as I am aware there have never been any Michelin three star female chefs. There have been precious few British males either, many of our three star chefs are foreign born, the Roux Brothers, Raymond Blanc, Nico and others. I have not been able to find any female French chefs with this accolade either, there is I think one two star in France. Some 3 star restaurants have been owned by women, but the top chefs have always been male.

In order to get 3 stars (or is it 4 stars?) one must have been rated as 2 stars during the previous year. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

There has never been a women three star chef; there have been several women two star chefs, the most famous ran the kitchen at Ledoyen in Paris until two years ago.

One CAN get three stars from the first year but it's happened only three times in ninety years, mainly because a vast wine selection is needed, and rarely does a young chef have one.
