Default Switching jobs

What is everyones criteria for switching jobs? I just did it when the F&B director really pissed me off. What else would make you change jobs?

When I needed to learn something new. One time I switched a job when I tasted a fabulous pie. I had to work with that pastry chef.

i have to agree with cookm - preferably i like to move on to preserve and increase my knowledge.

I find it disappointing when you reach a impasse in a job and the only way to resolve it is to move on. I had a job like that this year and i didnt get what was promised to me, so i cut my losses and moved on.

Needless to say, i saw the owner in the street not so long ago and he wouldnt look me in the eye.

I just changed my job after 10 years. I had to look at my future, either I took a promotion, spent huge amounts of extra time at work, get transferred and risk alienating my family and other important non-work obligations, or take a better paying cooking job with the State and work Mon-Fri AM. No Brainer. One needs to get their priorities and needs straight and then assess whether or not the job is filling that.
