 No Cruise Job for Me
Since going on a cruise last year and this year, I've queried chefs onboard at at school about working shipboard. I think I've even posted a question here ages ago. I've looked through webpages of a number of cruise operators and even found a local agency. None of them seem to post jobs of the lower ranks in the kitchen like line cooks, preps, or even dish washers. I was told that they're rarely ever requested and only the higher ups like sous and executive chef positions are open, the ones that require experiance that I need.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a resource I could look into that could help me get on a ship, regardless of where it is. I'm more then willing to fly out to the middle of no where to get onboard as long as I'm suited for the job. |
