Default What the heck am I eating?

As a cook (and this is kind of going along with COC's thread) but do you ever have the barrrooooooo! thought after digging into a defrosted Omaha Steaks beef stroganoff? What the **** am I doing? Making things simpler isn't making things good. I, because of trying to make things simpler after surgery, have been trying out various frozen foods. I can't do it! I'm sorry! I need to either hire myself a cook or get myself a wheelchair tall enough to reach the bloody stove. I'm only 35 for goodness sakes! LOL

It is indeed "sad"... the whole situation seems sad quite daily actually... as myself I get home around 9pm... I just cannot eat while cooking... and that is about that time that my starvation symptom raises its flag... only to open the lighted cold closet door... and... find only as usual a nice bottle of...water... And I do not have even your excuse! At least my fridge stay clean...
Be well...

LOL I was just looking at my fridge thinking I really need to get to that spontaneous science experiment in the back of the top shelf!

My case really isn't that bad -- I'll just be layed up for a few weeks, but trying all this frozen food to see what is out there is depressing -- its supposed to be "high quality" stuff! And a lot of it has MSG to top it off! I think I'll just stick to quesadillas, saltines, and big salads.

When I was actively cooking in a professional kitchen, I did eat during my shift, and my bosses knew that up front. I'm a grazer & a nibbler -- I work best when I nosh on bits and pieces throughout the day.

All in all, life is good! I'll be fine! Sorry about the venting, that is not my normal MO -- I just hate to think that a majority of the US population is eating frozen food junk.
