Default Kona coffee, is it really that good?

Kona coffee, is it really that good?

If so where is a place to buy it online?

Is the Kona blend for $8.99 sold in the local supermarket any good?

Will recipes calling for coffee taste better if I use Kona as opposed to say Folgers?

Default javahead from the nw

kona is like a fuller medium roast columbian. its a matter of personal taste, though; any coffee is only as good as the roast. much as i hate to toot their horn, you can always rely on starbucks to have well-roasted beans. i make a xmas cookie with their french roast that is better than....!
for gods sake avoid flavored coffees like the very plague.

i spent a week in Kona, HI a few years ago. each morning i would walk out to the main road where there was a fellow selling fresh brewed Kona coffee from a little cart. i can still recall how awesome it was and thinking to myself " so this is what all the fuss is about!"

i also remember trying some poi and saying, "this tastes like paste!"

Default coffee

have a few friends from hawaii

and thats what they always bring back Kona-Macadamia nut coffee which is wicked

and macadamia-chocolate truffle with are addicting

if you have a starbucks palette you'll like their dark roasts

as far as recipes a I was going to do a frozen kona coffee pie to upscale an old recipe i used to do with coffee ice cream

as long as its worked in you price why not??????
