Wasted Chopped Green Onions

I work for a produce company and we are wondering what size packs of chopped green onions would be good for Foodservice establishements? 2 lbls? Fresh or Frozen? Is there anyone on this site that would be interested in ordering chopped green onions? We have them in different size cuts and the sizes and color of the green onions are conisistent.

Please email me back if chopped green onions are something you are interested in purchasing or if you know of a good organization or website where you could ask this type of information.

Shari

Why would I order chopped green onions. One thing, it limits there use, second, its not that hard to chop a green onions. Well, maybe if I was using 20 pounds a day or something.

Mezzaluna- Thank you. Will I be updated as to who's responding to the poll? We really want feedback on who is using chopped green onions and why someone wouldn't want them pre-chopped if that's what they are doing whey they receive the product. Thank you. Shari

I chop my own. Can't imagine buying them already done, usage would be limited, and cost likely higher.

I would think that pre-chopped green onions would have a zero shelf life. AS it is they don't last that long when you chop them yourself. Now if you are using them in bulk like making your own salsa ala Chi Chi's or something perhaps. In an average establishment I couldn't see it.

The best I can see is in large scale institutional use. Maybe some place that makes 20 gallons of soup at a time.

My wife uses 20lb bags at a time but she works at the opposite end of the spectrum.
