| Hi there, I'm designing an Olive Oil/Vinegar bottle, and I was wondering if anyone had any observations/gripes about current bottles that I might be able to improve upon. Also, I haven't decided if it will be two separate compartments for olive oil and vinegar set into a single bottle, or two separate bottles. I figure people probably use more olive oil than vinegar or is that incorrect? From my own (rather limited) experience, I find the bottle can slip out of my hand easily which is exascerbated by it being heavy, so I might include some kind of grip, not sure yet. Also, I know pouring technique is an issue too. Any feedback would be fantastic. cheers! |

| I've seen all kinds of nested o&v sets. I personally don't like the ones that are connected. They're difficult to use and clean. Like, for instance the one that has a bottle in a bottle. Like it or not, the stuff does eventually go bad. An intertwined bottle set might be worth looking into. Or maybe an art deco look like one is an olive looking decanter and the other is grapes? (I'm an artist as well as cook and I do a lot of sculpture) What type of effect are you looking for? April |

| Well, right now I'm thinking more about product innovation than style. Style is definately a factor, but practicality is paramount. I've noticed alot of identical olive oil and vinegar bottles, that seems like a bit of a design flaw when you reach unconsciously for the olive oil and end up pouring out vinegar instead. I also agree with you about the interconnected bottles, they seem to be far more about novelty value than usefulness. Any more ideas you have would be great. James |

| I have a set that I like a lot. They are two clear, green glass bottoles that fit together to form a round bottle(about 2 1/2" in diameter) with two tops. Where they fit together, they are shaped in kind of a wavey pattern-perfect for my hands to grip. I shoved two pour spouts into the neck so it comes out in a controlled way. The only thing it needs is a little dish to sit in to catch the drips.

| NON DRIP SPOUT!!! Can you do that? All the rage right now in the "diet" world is spray on dressings, you may want to look into that as well as a means of dressing with oil and vinegar. How about personal size for the frequent diner? Just pop them into your brief case or hand bag and enjoy your favorite extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic at the diner on your big salad?? This is a fun project, enjoy!
