Chef San Francisco fine dining..

Hello!

~Quick bio.: My name is Aimee. My family owns a restaurant in Switzerland.. I grew up in restaurants... -backpacked and cooked for michelin stars thru Europe...- staged in Japan.. currently making wine and cheese and working on my menus in rural Northern California..!

-I plan to move down to S.F soon (i grow weary of the sticks..! )
and would loooove a listing of the BEST of the BEST of the bay area..!

THE BEST:

1. fine dining restaurants/ respected Chefs to stage/work-- to learn and potentially move up..

2. places to eat..lounge...love..live...laugh...!

3. shop!

4. coffee....

5. -any other suggestions you may have!!

"..to what the world has to offer and what you make of it.."

Aimee

A good old friend of mine, Ty is the partner chef at Roy's SF.
He used to be the Sous at the Roys here in Tampa. Trained by Roy Yamaguci himself.

You'll have to prove yourself, and he will know quickly if you're up to the task....but he's a really talented chef, great people person, and you'd learn tons (not to mention meet a lot of culinary legends including Roy)

One of the things I love about Roys is the daily education servers receive before every shift. 45 solid minutes of shift training focused on that days menu. You get to play teacher too.

If you're a rock star, you can run your own Roys within 5-7 years.

I couldn't possibly give you a recommendation, but tell him Steve from Tampa sent you and you'll get a welcome reception.

Default Chez Pannise

Alice Water's is The Food Goddess. She changed the way american chefs cook. From what I understand it's hard to get rese's these
days though(It's also in Berkely). As for places to drink if you want gritty and diverse, hit the lower Haight district(just watch your step going around the crackheads sleeping on the street), for nightclubs, go south of Market St.. lot's of bar/restaurants on Columbus and in Fisherman's Wharf. Great bars and dance club's in the castro district
