Default The Perfect Shoe for Cheffy Feet

My partner and I have agreed that we have finally found the perfect chef's shoe. Comfy with and without socks, walk and stand for miles and hours, soles don't mark out, and not bad looking for a clog.

Here's the link at Zappos.com
Keen PTC Slip On at Zappos.com

Has anyone else tried these? They're great for aching feet and backs.

Just wish they had more colors.

Eh... Shoes are very personal. I suffer from flat feet and wear custom orthotics so I must have a back to the shoe, a stable base without molded liners, and, most importantly,--the shoe must not move laterally. That is to say if I can can hold the heel in one hand and the midsole in the other and twist gently, the shoe should not move. If it does, it can't provide a stable base for my orthotics, and I go from a mild mannered cook into a crotchety demon in about 90 minutes.

I'm a Dansko fan all the way, but those Keens look like I could wear them. I need a heel because of my flat feet. Sneakers/tennis shoes kill me after about a half day. There is nothing worse than hurting feet!

I've worn Danskos for years and liked them a lot. The Keens look just like them when worn, only the inside is a little cushier. There's a bit of a heel, and a closed back that's snug enough to feel secure, but roomy enough to breathe and slip off quickly if some hot soup ends up inside your shoe.
It's a new style for Keen and my shoe seller says each week he gets another chef or two trading their Danskos in for them.

Glad you found the perfect Chef shoe for you.
Those won't work for me.
The perfect Chef shoe for me are Birkenstock London's with the non-slip sole.

Yes, every foot is different. I can't wear Birks for 10 minutes! Never could, even when they looked so good with my long Indian print skirts...
