Default Power Bar Recipe

All my protein/power bar recipes have turned out either o.k. or terrible.
I would like one that is hardy and not bread like or chalky. I would like one
that is soft. I even pull it out early and it doesn,t work. I use fruit, nuts, and maybe oats. Maybe some flaxseeds. I need help. Thankx.

Try not baking at all. Perhaps take the rice krispy treat method. Instead of baking just get the things hot and mix it all up, put it in a pan and cool it either at room temp or quickly in the cooler.

I have never really made a protein bar before so I couldn't say for sure if this would work, but ****, it's worth a try right? Seems like toasted oats, nuts, dried fruits, and honey would set up alright without baking.

I could be way off...if so, just disregard this.

Hope that helps...
