Default Which came first chicks or eggs?

Well, May 29th is the fund raiser for Clayton Farmer's Market.....women artists with a theme of local farms, farmers, produce, CFM, chicks, eggs.....local women cooks/chefs cooking local food at stations, and female musicians...all 2 days prior to opening of the season. We'll sell admisssion tickets and plastic eggs with gift certificates in them (at the eggschange). One of my better ideas.
So any ideas that relate?

They are not indigenous to Mo......May would be strawberries, rhubarb, shiitake, edible flowers, greens, carrots, garlic shoots, morels (maybe), chevre, eggs, maybe raspberries, asparagus, hmmmmm think I need to check my records.....lamb, chickens, pork....
We have a commercial kitchen right there with ovens, stoves, fridges......
I see an omelet booth....think chicks/eggs......
Egg drop soup....
