LOL m brown!
A perfect example out how different is not always better.
While this doesn't really fit into the ice cream thread, I have enjoyed savory sorbets quite a bit. I once tasted a Campari sorbet piped into artichoke bottoms and served with fresh lemon wedges. Great as a hot weather appetizer, snack, intermezzo, or dessert.

I had durian icecream at a Thai restaraunt...the absolute worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. It literally tasted like garbage (or like garbage smells...Ive never tasted garbage before) Dont be fooled into trying this one folks!

Not as weird as some of those above, but a middle eastern waiter of ours convinced us to make fresh carrot juice and pour it over vanilla ice cream. It was surprisingly very good!

Avocado is the weirdest I've had that I liked. Carrot-Mango wasn't bad either.

If you are ever in San Antonio on the Riverwalk, you have to try Henry's Mango icecream (the best mango I've ever had!) and it's shipped all over.

Iron Chef Icecream - I must of missed the beef tongue, but the fried fish fins and icecream didn't do much for me!

Shroomgirl - From Russia with Buzz is my current favourite Jen & Berry's flavour.

Actually Carrot Mango sounds great Lynne...I remember finishing a dinner in Napa one warm evening with a basil-fig sorbet...it was really good.

To go back a ways to the Green Tea icream...I tried that when a group in my gourmet foods class made it last year. It was really good. I don't remember the recipe though I do know it was found in a Bon Appetite from a while ago (not that that helps any).

I had Root Beer ice cream once. I don't know why, but it tasted terrible. Now I don't eat this type of ice cream any more. Gross!
