| Years ago my mom used to make a spice cake with peanut butter frosting. It was my fav. I am trying to recreat that and I am having a hard time coming up with a good formula for peanut butter frosting. I am thinking a buttercream would be best but am open. Most recipes I find are the butter/powdered sugar type and I am not sure that would work in a bakeshop. Thanks!

| I've made the pb bc with margarine and 10 x with salted pb added. very heavy, very tasty. you could add warm soft pb to a swiss bc or italian bc ~ french bc might be too rich. or were you looking for more of a fudge icing?
