How long does it take to film a 30 minute show?

I know you have custom sized countertops to accomodate your height, do most TV food personalities have custom sized countertops as well?

Hi Henry,
For me it takes roughly 1 1/2 hours to tape a half hour show but that is related to the way we produce it. for a show like Ina Gaarten's or Nigella Larson's old show, it can take days because it is so meticulously shot.
that is why I prefer live tv. you shoot it, no retakes, you make mistakes, you apologize, and then you are done...

I don't know if anyone else has a shortened counter but boy did I have to fight for it!! but that was in the days when the men were king on the food network.
