Smile Five pounds of challah....

...are left over from our New Year's luncheon. I took it home to make a sweet or savory bread pudding I intend to bring to a pot luck lunch on the 13th (to break the fast after Yom Kippur).

Since people will have been fasting, I don't want anything too, too rich (like made with white chocolate!!). No pork or shellfish, please if it's a savory one.

Related: can I use my All-clad roti (roasting) pan to make it in? Or is it the wrong weight for the job.

Thanks!

Mezz,
I don't have a recipe but I have a neighbor down the street that had a similar situation. She brought me some because I told her I love french toast made with Challah. She also brought some of the (bread pudding?casserole?pan croquette?) that was made with Challah, salmon, eggs, cream etc. Tasted like a really good salmon qroquette. Any interest? I can probably get the recipe.
