| Do you have a healthy granola type breakfast bar recipe? I would love to be able to bake my own. They can be chewy or cakelike. No chocolate please, but nuts are ok. Thank you for your help. You can reply directly if you like. support@therealisticcook.com I am new to all of this and am finding this avenue of input to be fantastic. Looking forward to hearing from you. |

Add the honey and sugar, stir and bring to the boil. Simmer for five minutes then remove from the heat and let it cool slightly. In a large bowl combine the rolled oats, flour, sunflower seeds, dried fruit, nuts and sesame seeds. Gradually stir in the sugar mixture and firmly press into a greased baking dish about 25cm x 18cm. Bake at 350F/180C/Gas Mk 4 for 25 minutes or until golden. Leave to cool and cut into bars. |
