If you do a search on the site, using words like pasta, spaghetti, lasagne etc.. there are lots to choose from. That's without refining it by adding words like Tuscan, Neapolitan, Sicilian etc

I've always wanted to crack Picada.
Risotto Milanese showcases saffron
Caprese salad is a class act if the basil and tomatoes are kicking in where you are!

This is not the usual recipe, it is very obscure one!
Slice champinion mushrooms, chop or in a blander a basil bunch,
On a hot plate griller etc, grill piece of Beef, a small piece,
just to brown the out side not cook it, inside should be uncooked, now slice thinly and arrange in a long plate mixed the mushrooms with basil and a bit of olive oil, and spread on the top of the meat in a hot oven and cook, till the beef is done.

Here's one of my favs. It's a Giada DeLaurentis recipe. Very tasty -

Rigatoni w/ Sausage, Peppers & Onions
2 tbls olive oil
1 lb Italian sausage
2 red peppers
2 onions, sliced
1 teas each salt & pepper
1/2 teas oregano
1/2 cup chopped basil
4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 tbls tomato paste
1 cup marsala wine
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1/4 teas red pepper flake
Parmesan & basil for garnish
Heat oil med heat & add sausage. Cook until brown, about 7 to 10 min. Remove from pan, drain.
Add peppers, onions, salt & pepper, cook about 5 min.
Add oregano, basil & garlic, cook 2 min.
Add tomato paste and stir. Add wine, chili flakes and tomatoes. Scrap bottom of pan, bring to simmer.
Cut sausage about 1 in pieces. Add back to pan and cook until sauce has thickened, about 20 min.
Cook pasta
