No Smile Strawberry Bread

STRAWBERRY BREAD
16 oz. frozen strawberries, thawed and undrained
1 1/4 c corn oil
4 eggs
3 c self rising flour (see note)
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp cinnamon
2 tsp cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla

Grease 2 loaf pans or 1 bundt pan. Set aside. Preheat oven to 375* In a mixing bowl, combine berries, oil, eggs, and sugars. Stir in flour and spices. Pour into prepared pan(s) and bake in preheated oven for about 1 hour. Allow to sit for about 5 min. before removing from pan to cooling rack. Leftovers are great toasted and spread with cream cheese for breakfast!

**If you do not have self-rising flour, use the following:
3 c plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda

Yawn

It's yummy, Sandy. It's gone through so many changes from the original recipe that it's hardy recognizable! I like the addition of brown sugar-- think I finally have it where I want it!
