| I was looking for a recipe for stuffed onions. Can anyone tell me what type of onion I need to use and what type of stuffing to use. |

| The best onions to use are the sweeter onions such as Vidalia, Walla Walla, or Maui, though any onion will do if you cook it slow and long to maximize the sweetness. As for a stuffing that really depends on what you want as an end product. The only guideline I can give you is to use a heartier flavored stuffing (stay away from crab) as more delicate stuffings will be overwelmed by the onion. Try a sausage stuffing or a stuffing made with fruits to complement the sweetness of the onion. |
