Clown ISO Goulash recipes

When I was growing up, I ate goulash as just macaroni, tomato juice and hamb. My husband on the other hand thinks it's gross, so I'm looking to see how you all make it so I can see if he likes it better some other way. Thanks everybody.

My mother always made it macaroni, a can (or two) of stewed tomatoes, and 1 pound of ground beef. I haven't eaten in years though. How does your husband like it?

heres one I make for staff meals at work

2 medium onions diced
2 tbs chicken fat (or butter)
2 # Beef chuck cubed
salt
1 tbp paprika
2 chopped tomatoes
2 ts flour
1 diced parsnip
1 diced carrot
1 dice green bell pepper
2 potatoes cubed
chopped parsly
S&P to taste
***********
For the noodles
1 egg
the flour
salt
chopped parsley
**********
Saute the onions in the fat until golden. add the beef and stir until well browned. add salt, paprika and tomatoes, and let simmer for 30 minutes.sprinkle the flour over the meat, stir well and let the flour cook for a moment or two,Then add enough beef stock (water or chicken broth will do)to cover the meat. add the parsnip, carrot and pepper and bring to a boil. Turn to a simmer and let cook 10 minutesadd potatoes and a little more stock if needed. S&P to taste and simmer until potatoes and meat are tender.
*********
For the noodles combine all ingrediants with enough flour to form a medium dough, drop tiny noodles into the simmering soup with a small spoon (Like spatzel)
Enjoy

I make mine with ground beef, chopped canned tomatoes, chopped peppers, onions, and of course the macaroni. Sometimes I make it with Kielbasa instead of the ground beef.
