Does anyone have any suggestions on recipes which I could use (publicly) for an article on foods of the Philippines?

On What do you mean by publicly? are you going to publish the recipe in a book or something? If you are do some of the recipe that is a favorite among philipinos. For example, my favorite Pork Adobo, or Sinigang.

I believe you can use any recipe you want in an article. Though It's usually customary to source these recipes showing where you got it from, especially if it's a published article. There are a lot of recipes on-line that are pretty much public domain, and can be used any way you like. Here's a link I go to for filipino dishes: http://www.kusinaatbp.com/default.php I hope this helps.
