Post Baby shower

I am hosting a baby shower. I need some recipes for finger foods. Nothing real expensive, but nice. Berries and other fruits will be in season, so I already know that I will be using fruits for different things, but I need help with finger foods. I appreciate any help. Thanks!!!

I say give that baby a bath, not a shower.

Dear Heather, how lovely of you to do a nice party for a friend.
My favorite thing for something like this is "finger sandwiches": a great treat with the crusts cut off. My favorite is good old Southern pimento cheese:
grated cheddar with a bit of finely chopped pimento (canned/jarred or freshly roasted red pepper) bound with Hellman's on white Pepperidge Farm -- crusts cut off -- just like at the Masters in Augusta. Cucumber with dill on white, egg salad, tomato with mayo (drain the tomato very, very well), thin slices of ham or roast beef with mustard, etc. The important thing is the color of the bread, the crusts cut off, the shape of the little sandwich.
Pep. Farm does Very Thin Bread that looks great and has great texture for these little goodies.
This is one time when presentaion is the key. I could go on and on about the wonderful old bridge club recipes of Southern ladies but another time.
Food doesn't have to be expensive to be the best. Or to be a memorable part of a great party.
The important thing is that you keep it simple so you can enjoy the party too,

Some ideas:

phyllo triangles filled with sweet or savory fillings (feta/spinach/tomato; apple/raisin/nut/cinnamon-sugar; mushroom duxelles)

Super easy: buy little phyllo cups in the frozen food section and fill those with the fillings above- also the filling from your favorite lemon bar recipe or pecan pie recipe. Fill them with finely minced chicken salad, seafood salad, etc.

To fancy up the finger sandwiches, spread mayo around the edges and pat on finely chopped parsley.

rectangles, squares, triangles make different shapes....pretty herbs and pansies or johnny jump ups make a beautiful garnish

puff pastry sticks, sweet of savory...peppridge farms puff pastry sheets cut into fingers, topped with grated hard cheese and herbs or cinnamon, zest and sugar.....twisted and baked.

veggies and dip put red cabbage outer leaves around the dip dish and blanch some green beans, snow peas...asparagus, funn different veg.

baby muffins with smoked turkey or ham...like cranberry muffins or corn or.....

stuffed baby tomatoes with herby cream cheese

Pate choux or cream puffs with savory or sweet filling is inexspensive and people go nuts over them.
