| i'm looking for ideas/recipes for my high school students to be "flashy" with at a catered event __ they're good at torching creme brulee'. any other thoughts? |

| How many people are you preparing for? What is the occasion? How many students do you have working the event? Light food, rich food; plated diner, buffet? If it's a buffet maybe you can have different action stations (pasta station, stir fry station, flambe station with different meats like ostich, beef tenderloin or even scllops or shrimp finished with a paired liquer). Maybe you can have a flamed dessert station to conclude the meal(Crepes Suzette, Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee ect.) Hope this helps any. ------------------ |

| Thanks for your reply, layjo. Our county Chamber of Commerce is hosting their monthly "Business After Hours"; they usually have @ 75 attend. Probably 5-6 students__ maybe as many as 8__ to serve and "chef". It will be stand up to encourage movement and interaction. Kind of a cocktail party w/o the cocktails. I plan to set up a station for quesadillas. We have a reputation for our desserts, so I really like the idea of a flamed dessert station. We can modify easily enough. You helped a lot. Thanks. |
