I used to go into Juneau regularly about 20 years ago. It's a real small town (you can practically throw a rock from one end to the other.) Not a lot to choose from as I recall. Even in 20 years I don't imagine the town has grown that much.
There's the Red Dog Saloon (an old gold rush period saloon still in operation last I heard.) I never ate there so I can't speak to the food. The salmon anywhere in South East Alaska is great.
Let us know what Juneau is like today. I'd be really interested.
