Ughhh....The White House Grill Here.....

I recently ate at the only gourmet cooking restaraunt in the town where I live, called "The White House Grill" that serves Mediterranean food. I don't like garlic that much, so I tried to order a dish without garlic, but unforutnately, EVERY dish in that restaraunt has garlic in it, and some even have WAY TOO MUCH in them!

You have a difficult time brushing the garlic out of your mouth before you go to bed if you have eaten at that restaraunt during the day . I like garlic in some things, but I can't stand too much, it gives me stomach cramps . When you go to bed, the garlic taste and smell is still in your mouth, giving you problems with bad breath. Brushing your teeth again doesn't help much.

A lot of my friends have told me that they ate at that restaraunt once and didn't like it at all. I tried to get hired there once and they wouldn't hire me; now that everyone's telling me they don't like it there, I don't want to work there . I think I'll just go somewhere else for work .

Besides, I forgot to mention that I'd rather work where everyone enjoys eating and the food is really good that the customers come back again and again. That's the restaraunt I like.

LOL! It's a small world!

The White House Grill in Post Falls is my favorite resaurant! I love their heavy hand with the garlic.

I have been on a search for a really good book on Mediterranean cooking, to make a similar dishes at home.

I know many people who really like the White House, but probably do not go very often because of its seasonings. But, they are hard to get into without reservations (for dinner at least).

Hey, jane, I didn't mean to offend you....I meant that I do like the dishes that the White House Grill has; I ate there once and I really liked the food, but what I DID NOT like was the fact that, that night, I had a hard time brushing the garlic smell out of my mouth before bedtime. I soon got my stomach cramps.

I remember I ordered some really tasty chicken that day with some really delicious rice. It was sooo good I couldn't stop eating it! hehe

I have often wondered why garlic tastes so good when you eat it but afterwards gives you problems like bad breath and stomach cramps? That's the part I was referring to when I said I didn't like it and that's the part I hate about garlic.

You didn't offend me! I undersatnd completely.

It still might be a nice place to work...they do a good business, and have a faithful clientel.

Have you ever eaten at El Molino in Rathrum? Very funky, and authentic...it's not Taco Time!

No, I don't think I ever heard of or came across that recipe...do you know when they opened that recipe and what they serve there? I used to live in Rathdrum with my parents and I don't remember ever seeing this restaraunt...if I did, I must have forgotten about it.

Mad

LOL, I called the restaraunt "recipe" twice by mistake! Hehe I guess I wasn't paying attention....I was thinking about sending you a private message, jane, at the same time as posting the message.

I noticed that in trying to send you a private message, jane, the feature is not enabled. Well, anyway, I want to tell you that I live on the same street where the White House Grill is located and if you want to stop by and see me, look for the Aspen Apartments. I don't feel safe letting out the other information in public, so I would have to e-mail you.

Hey jane, did you just try to post a response to this topic? I can't find your response; I got an e-mail saying you responded to this topic, but I can't find the response like I said before.
