I have to admit, when TRU was given four stars I was kind of leary, but so far all Ive heard from friends is that it is wonderful. I can't wait to save up enough money to check it out.

I was finally able to get into Tru. A Tru-ly amazing experience from the second you walk in the door. The service was outstanding, not at all stuffy. I loved the little purse rests
next to your chair. I thought the food was very inventive, with a sense of fun. I had sauteed foie gras that they called their "french toast foie gras" because it was on dipped and fried brioche with a pomegranite and (I think pear) chutney finished with a drizzle of maple syrup. It was wonderful!! For any truffle lovers out there, hurry in, they were using truffles all over the menu.
I could go on and on.

No kidding Linda, truffles truffles truffles. EVERYWHERE. I've been back twice now and can't get enough. Really great. And I have to agree with you... the service is almost better than the food!

Did you go to the bathroom?

yes, that sink in the women's room is really something!! Though they could have used somewhere to place your purse while you washed your hands. Did anybody go to the dinner with David Bouley last night?
