French Laundry

Anyone been to French Laundry? I'm dying to go.... I think my boyfriend and I will plan a trip just to eat there. it's got to be amazing, Keller's book is fabulous. I've heard so many great things about the restaurant. Can't wait.

I ate there a very long time ago and it was enchanting!
A chef friend of mine is very close with Mr. Keller and says it's well worth the trip!
Bring the rest of us back a review.

i went there about a year ago. it was totally delightful! this is one restaurant that deserves its praise. its not hyped in anyway.

i dont know how much of this is true, but i had heard that thomas keller left new york city, not so much as a failure but not basically, spurned if you will, by the meglomaniacs that head the top kitchens there. he was determined to make it work in california and i say more power to him!

my meal was perfect. the menu was dotted with fun items like "tongue and cheeks" we had fantastic wine. the service was flawless. the atmosphere casual and relaxed.

all this of course came at a price we had some really NICE wine but i will never ever forget it.
