Several months ago, in a thread about great places for brunch, I mentioned a now-closed Ina's Kitchen. GUESS WHAT? She's reopening soon on West Randolph in Chicago. Aside from being a great chef and cook, she's a wonderful person and a dear friend. Click below to check out her webpage: http://www.breakfastqueen.com

Sounds like the kind of place you can get chicken and waffles. Is it? Here in NYC Sylvias is the only place I know to get that soul food combo.

Ina's Kitchen was traditionally a breakfast place that served from 6am to 3pm. I hope that she'll do a dinner menu at this location. She can really cook! [This message has been edited by David Jones (edited 01-04-2001).]

I had lunch at Ina's yesterday. I had the grilled cheese on rye. Fabulous lunch and that chocolate cheesecake for desert was to dye for. Nice place with simple decor. I was impressed.

That's nice to hear, since they're still sort of shaking out the kinks. I can't wait for my next Scrapple. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
