Thumbs up Courtright's - Willow Springs IL

Went to Courtright's last night with some friends and I have to say Chef Greg Lutes did a phenomenal job. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. The room is very beautiful, and the service was good.

I would suppose this is a recommendation I could trust. We're close, we'll try it. Any special recommendations?

But... is it a $ or a $$$$$$$$$$$? Will it set me back as much as dinner at Tallgrass?

Thanks

Mike

Thumbs up

I don't think it will set you back as much as Tallgrass, but it will cost you a couple bucks. You can check out their website here:

Be sure to tell them that you found out about them on ChefTalk.com (thanks!)

"Courtright's luxuriant ambiance coddles cr*p quesadillas with jumbo shrimp. Each (dish) drives home the point that the chef understands the lay of the land."-Chicago Magazine, directly quoted from their website's awards/recognition page. Of all the typos that could show up on a restaurant's site, that is not the one that should be looked over.
Regarding the menu; the tuna, duckling and chicken sounded especially good. Also, I like seeing a menu that has some straight-forward, simple preparations on it; the veal and lamb entree's, for example.
What did you have, Nicko?

Courtrights.... Ahhhhh. One of the best restaurants in Chicagoland. Five star dining at three star prices. Chef Greg Lutes is a fine artisan of the culinary arts, crafting each dish expertly and carefully. I highly recommend it.
