Post Buca Di Beppo

What is everyone's thoughts on this interesting Italian-themed restaurant? I know they have a couple locations nationwide... Just wondered how was the dining and experience...

Have had favorable experiences at Bucca! Not the finest dining in town but an all around FUN place to go. I recommend the POPE ROOM for larger groups. All food is over portioned per person, most are for two.. The small salad is about 5 pounds!
Lots of fun, tasty food, good ol' Brat Pack and Louis Primo music. Lots of funny photos on the walls. Seems to be a big value...
Bring your appetite and a few friends! I have dined at the Chicago, Downers Grove and Minneapolis locations...

Heard from a reliable source it's a fun place to take kids. Don't go there for dining for two. Most people in Phoenix want to celebrate their children's birthdays. It's a party place: not known for cuisine.

with all the Italian restaurants in Chicago, or any city for that matter, that is low on my list. As a chef, I would look for something a tad more authentic. AND UN CORPORATE>
