Gosh, Cremaster, it must be loads better than Denny's...

We have a hamburger/frozen custard chain in Wisconsin and Illinois (elsewhere too, by now, I'm sure) called Culver's. Best hamburgers I've eaten in many a year. Although I do like Steak and Shake's burgers, too. Both are caramelized on a hot grill and juicy inside. The custard is good at Culver's, too.

Culver's does have excellent burgers (but if you are watching your diet, STAY AWAY! ). Custard is also very good. Restaurant atmosphere isn't anything to write home about, though... Nice suggestion, Mezzaluna

ChiliBoy, if you're low carbing like I am, you can enjoy a jumbo bacon cheeseburger any time you like. Thank heavens I'm a confirmed animal protein-eater, and the nearest Culver's is 1.5 miles away.

I happen to like In-n-Out Burger. They cut all the veggies and potatoes fresh (or so they say). The last time I was there, they were offering new *associates* $9.00 an hour! Unheard of, I think, for fast food. Pays more than some restaurants I know of.
