Lightbulb Alaine Ducasse? Have you ever been there?

I am really interested to hear if anyone has eaten at any of Alaine Ducasses' restaurants? For years I have admireded his work, and now with him coming to NY I am eager to try his food.

Check out www.alain-ducasse.com for all of his stuff and if you want to purchase anything from his line. And I hope I don't get you jealous, but I, along with Billy (who is a register here) have reservations at Alain Ducasse New York on July 13. And on my honeymoon in Sept. my wife and I have reservations at Louis XV (his restaurant in Monaco) and at the Hotel de Paris. I will let you know how it is. Maybe you would like to purchase one of his books, I know Ducasse Flavors of France is a good one. Also check out www.degustibus@alan-ducasse.com ...good luck

black box, yes I am for 5 days. I know you must think that I am either rich or CRAZY. I unfortunately am CRAZY. After a week in Paris at reasonably priced hotel I decided to splurge a little in Monaco. Why? Have you ever been? Please respond.

Hey Johnny, just curious. I have always tried to follow Ducasse's restaurants throughout the years and when I was in school, my Chef was a personal friend of his and tried to hook me up with a summer apprenticeship at the hotel. Of course it didn't happen until the next graduating class.

I just think it's funny because not really alot of people know of him over here and suddenly he's all over these boards. Have a great time, I'd love to hear about the service at the Hotel when you're back.
