| Hello Ruth and welcome to Chef Talk. My Spanish is very poor, but I think you're telling us about a restaurant in Montreal that serves great Spanish food. We have a forum in which we share information about restaurants. (Also, most of us try to use English here- it doesn't have to be perfect! But our members are from all over the world, so we use English as our common language.) Please introduce yourself in the Welcome Forum. I'll move your post to the International Restaurants forum. Bienvenido, Mezzaluna

| Is this perhaps the Spanish tapas restaurant situated on Rue St. Denis up the street (and hill) from McGill U? I've been there and yes, most excellent food. Hola y adios, Ciao,

Well, it is not the restaurant you are mentioning but the one on rue St. Hubert at the corner with Villeray. The resto is not that big but there the food is just fantastic. My best suggestion will be for you to, if in the city of Montréal, drop by and try their paella. Best regards, Ruth |

| Hi Mezzaluna, thank you for your warm welcome and please, forgive me for not acknowledging it before. I was trying before in the “gato por liebre” comment I wrote to mention something I thought was peculiar and I was as well trying by means of this Foro to return a compliment to the wonderful food and friendly but professional treatment I got in the “Etoile du Sud Restaurant of Montreal”, however, now a days it should not be a surprise to any one to find a Chinese making pizzas or an Italian cooking Chinese food, and in both cases doing it ok. Thank you again and my very best regards to you. Ruth. |

| Don't forget that Google has a translator for lots of languages. The translation comes out a bit odd, but it gets the point across. http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en Last edited by Free Rider : 07-06-2006 at 08:45 AM. |
