Question Inexpensive Sea Food in Orlando

Hi there,

My family and I are going to Orlando in October. We all are big fans of seafood and, needless to say, it isn’t at all inexpensive to eat on Disney grounds, we are looking for some inexpensive alternatives so if anyone has some suggestions we all would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks,
Kelley

Hi cakerookie,

In 1999 we went to Gator World and had gator nuggets. I don’t know if you were being facesious or not about the gator tails but the nuggets were tough and tasted kinda nasty. Maybe it was just the idea of eating an Alligator but it just made my stomach a little queasy.

My husband and I went to Disney World for our honeymoon in 2001. We had dinner at Folton’s Crab House on Lake Boniveist. That was probably the most expensive, but delicious, meal I have ever eaten. Our bill came out to be (with tax andtip) $270.00. I almost had a heartache right there when the bill came. That was just REDICKULOS. True, dinner was wonderful but that was just CRAZY. We had bought a package deal that gave us an allotted amount of what they called “Magic Wishes” per day that allowed us to use them as we pleased. That was cool so all in all that really wasn’t too bad. That eased the pain of the bill.

Well if anyone has any suggestions you can feel free to give them to me.

Thanks,
Kelley

Hi Kelly,

We visited the that area in 1993. We found a wonderful seafood buffet place in Kissimmee called Boston Lobster feast. If we ever get there again we will most likely visit Boston Lobster Feast.

Enjoy.

Default Boston lobster feast?

oh wait...you are from iowa! Please please don't base your seafood experience on this place. First off, its a chain restaurant that feeds off the tourists. Second, anyplace that serves lobsters on a buffet isn't exactly serving the top notch, fresh from the ocean maine (or spiny florida) lobsters that make your taste buds do a little happy dance.

I know I'm a little late for the vacation suggestions...but a quickie comment. Fulton's crab house is not a bad dinner but well known throughout the Disney/orlando scene as way over priced and another place catering strictly to the tourists
