Default Worst lunch ever

Gawd having a kid turns your brain to mush. Today me and Garrett were downtown. On a lark, we decided to walk into this place called The Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant. I don't usually do this kind of thing but what the heck, Garrett would get a kick out of cooking his own food at the table right? One hour later and $28+tip poorer, I come out feeling like I got bent over and... well, you know what I mean. What did my $28 buy?

Six 31-40 shrimp
2oz farmed Salmon
2 scallops

I pot of artificially flavored oversalted court boullion.

You bet I sent an email to the parent company. Never go to one of these places. You heard it here first. I don't wanna have to say I told you so.

So Kuan, I take it you weren't too fond of the fondue restaurant?

It sounds like you have some fond due from the parent company!

Boy can I sympathise. That's like my $40 microwaved vegetables (see my grouchy thread for details).

Thanks for the warning as those places have been suggested to me.

When I was just in Atlanta, I thought I might eat at a place that advertised live jazz. But when I walked in, not only was the performer not playing jazz, but the restaurant turned out to serve pretty much only beef fondue. Yuck! the place reeked of stale oil. And from the quick look I took at the menu, the prices were on a par with your experience. I managed to escape; sorry you two didn't.
