Default Cantina Laredo

There is a Cantina Laredo opening up across the way from us. It's the first one in Louisiana I believe. It looks very nice inside and out and is going to serve gourmet authentic Mexican food. Has anyone ever dined or worked for them. What did you think?

Bill,
A little loud. I'm going to stick my foot out and say it weighs a little more to the Tex-Mex side then the authentic Mexican side. Still pretty Good!l
One of the best Margarita selections aroundl.
You'll enjoy Have fun!

Bill,
Was taken to Cantina Laredo for dinner tonight.
It a pretty nice place, especially for a Franchise. The one up the street from us was their first store.
I had the snapper special with Vera Cruz sauce. Couple of XX amber.
Guac made at the table, little queso, Chili Relleno, etc.
Was over all pretty good. Like the week nights, quiet, no Mariachies sp?

Pan,

Thanks, glad you enjoyed. They had three rehearsal shifts, 2 dinners and one lunch over the weekend with a very good turnout at invitation only. I didn't get off in time to make one of the dinners but I spoke with a few folks that went and they were pleased. The GM ordered a muffy from us this afternoon and he said all went well and they are ready to open tomorrow.

I'll try to make it over in the next few weeks and let you know what I think.

You mentioned Veracruz sauce, XX amber, Margarita, guacamole, little queso, chili relleno. That food is mex.
What is the difference between texmex and mex.

Thanks.
