My favorite place for cheesesteaks is D'Allesandro's in Roxborough. I think it's on Henry Ave. They are closed on Sundays, so be warned. Last time I was in Philly I went there on Sunday to much disappointment. When I was in philly I was a broke college student, so I didn't go out to real sit down restaurants. I worked as a barback @ Sonoma on Main St. in Manyunk. They have a great vodka bar, but there are some stuck up yuppies that attend there. No jacket required there, but it's definitely a little more upscale than your regular restaurant. There are a couple other good restaurants on Main St. there too, but I can't seem to think of them off the top of my head. I'll let you know if I think of anymore.

Check out Philadelphia Blogs & Forums about Philly

I am sure you will be able to find any info you might want as far as informal restaurants in Philadelphia.

Not sure when he last updated, but Holly Eats is a good place to look.
