I live in Huntington Beach so maybe I can help. What kind of restaurants is your friend interested in? Our city isn't known for many high-end restaurants but we do have some very good places to have a tasty meal. Also it isn't very far to Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Costa Mesa, Anaheim and Santa Ana and they have some top of the line restaurants. Let me know what kind of places your friend is interested in and I will be glad to supply names and addresses.

Thank you ... they are not interested in any particular type of restaurant, just good food. They lived up here in the San Francisco area for a while and enjoyed the rich food culture we have here. They have also travelled extensively, and have sampled the food of several countries, especially France and Italy.

I don't know what you mean by "top of the line." To some that means fancy and expensive, To my friends and I it means good tasting food, fresh ingreients, good service. The restaurant can be simple and straightforward. Perhaps this clarifies things a bit more.

When I said "Top of the line" I meant places like Ruth Chris, Mortons, etc. and HB doesn't have any of those. What we do have in HB are some small independent restaurants like Mangia Mangia which is southern Italian (located near Goldenwest and Warner) Catch of the Day which is seafood (located on Edinger near Goldenwest) East Winds which is Chinese (on Edinger behind the Sizzler) and La Brique's which is American (north of Bolsa on Springdale). In addition to these restaurants we have most of the standard chains and you can find gourmet restaurants of all kinds in neighboring cities. Hope this helps.
