Thats because someone has chosen to not follow the systems put in place by McD's. Operator error will undo even the best of systems in any operation.

Had an "adult fast food" lunch yesterday for the soon to be MIL birthday.

Went to Bensi, a higher end Italian chain.

I ordered the Cold Antipasto (10.95) appetizer that was described as "various salami, cheese, olives, roasted red peppers, and sundried tomatoes"

I had iceburg lettuce, with rolled up slimey ham and cheese, olives and the rest of the stuff...

Didn't know boars head ham was "various" salami.

also, the lunch portions (and prices of course) on the menu were not served on Sundays? (it was 11:45am!)

I have a confession to make.

I actually like Macaroni Grill.

Sadly I've noticed their quality going down lately, and they took my favorite off the menu, veal piccata.

I think the original intent of the thread was more about food snobbery. Places like OG are in fact 'adult' fast food. You are getting nothing special but it tastes ok, and gets you what you need.

I think some foodies though act a bit pretentious about what they are eating.

I could name many other fast food chains where quality suffers from franchise to franchise. The biggest issue is the workers who are paid minimum wage or just above in most areas and don't care one way or the other. I did a year at a McFood when I was in my late 20's, I was picky about how stuff looked and was cooked while other employees would slop it together and say who cares.
