Default good eats in Vancouver, B.C.?

My family is headed to Vancouver, BC for an Alaskan cruise and would love to hear about any good restaurants in the area. We will also be spending time in Anchorage and would love recommendations that area also. Thanks

Ohh, I could probably tell you lots of places. These places mentioned above are just the ... how would you say it ... big name places, almost like celebrity style popular places, if you know what I mean.

But there are tonnes of great places.

But! This looks like an old post so I'm not even sure if you are interested anymore...

an honest assessment, k?

I thought we were talking hamburgers here with the discussion of Veras/the Pourhouse not just a place with good food. Sorry I misunderstood.
