Default Royal India

Went again to the Royal India last night. Awesome place.

They have the tandoori end of things nailed down and do it better than any other I've had. Fantastic garlic naan.

But this rave is all about the Lamb Saag. While supported with plenty of spinach, the dish is neither about spinach nor lamb, just amazing flavor. I've attempted Julie Sahni's recipe for this but was sadly disappointed. There's a nuttiness to Royal India's version, a smoothness and tenderness to the meat that hints at a gentle lengthy cooking.

Any one have a good lamb saag recipe for me to try?

Phil

Default None personally tested, but

...try this site: www.gadnet.com/recipes.htm. It has turned up lots of interesting stuff for me in the past.

Salt Lake City, well, technically in Sandy, but that suburb wouldn't be known to all you nice folks here.

Kimmie should be able to help you with that. She has a number of books on indian food.
