Hubby won a trip there with some nice spending money. Since we are not into gambling we figured we'd spend that money on a nice dinner (only a one night stay). Very open to anything. Any recommendations?

Prime Place at Bally's Park Place... it is next to Billy's Off Track Betting, on the 6th floor, I believe.
Upscale, French-ish but not pretentious. They have the 'ultimate' salad bar - yes, I said salad bar! It is more of a 'build your own appetizer' selection. When we were there, the selection ranged from smoked mussels, salmon mousse to fois grais, etc. An interesting 'twist'.
Also, the Temple Bar at Caesar's is magnificent. Eclectic, yes. Nouvelle, kind of. Very 'tidy' and bold presentations on contemporary compositions.
Or, you can go casual and hit Pickles Deli at the Boardwalk entrance to Bally's. Fantastic deli food! Huge portions, of course, of really well prepared deli fare.
