Well, Dan, I guess you pass.

Welcome to Chef Talk. Just reply to this thread to tell us more about yourself. What do you like to cook? What keeps you busy?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sounds like that will keep you busy enough...but hopefully not too busy to post. 70 seats....what are your average covers per night? How long have you been doing this? What kind of hours do you have to work? (See, we never quit being curious about each other.)

This is my day off . Go on line to research a few new items .

About 30 on slow nights . " 70 seats " is on the owners' line of thinking but I think 60 is more like it . Need room for the servers to walk you know .

More 15 years . stop counting after that . 60 hours/week . some what flexible but I hang around late on weekend . Even I just stand there ( hardly ever ) my crew will perform better . The FOH like it too . You know they are pround to work w/ you since they drag you out to see their moms, dads , etc ...

It sounds like you work for a very nice restaurant where you care about each other. I wish you the very best...and will enjoy reading your postings.

Thanks
I do have my bad days and owners are not that perfect but I do know how to deal w/ them ( Actually I just tell them straight to the face ! In term of money , ofcourse . Only very stupid or drunk owners will not see the bottom line ))

I am still have a lot to learn from fellow food lovers in this forum
