Talking I am a blank slate!

Hi everyone. I just found this site, and I wanted to say hello. I will be starting culinary in January, and am very excited! As of right now I am a preschool teacher, but have wanted to do this for awhile now. I finally just realized....why not do it now. I really dont have much experience besides cooking for my husband, but I really enjoy cooking, and love learning new things. I am hoping this website will help me along my journey !

Hi Verdet and welcome to the Chef Talk Cafe!

If you are now a preschool teacher, you definitely have the multi-tasking skills necessary to survive on the line during the dinner rush. Anyone who can manage a roomful of little ones and is eager to learn new things probably has the temperment for the culinary world- but I'll let the pros confirm or reject that notion.
